Clarkesville First UMC Mission & vision
Our church is led both by staff and members of our church. During the winter of 2018 many groups, committees, and leaders met and set the mission and vision for our church. Below you can find each statement and learn how we structure ourselves as a church.
Mission Statement
“Because of Christ, we choose to live by faith, be a voice of hope, and be known by love.”
Vision Statement
“Because of Christ, we welcome all to grow toward spiritual maturity through prayer and scripture, encourage all through words and works, and prepare all to use their gifts in God’s service.”

Logo
Our logo displays elements of who we are as a church. The larger ‘C’ is representative of our mission, vision, and motto, “Because of Christ”, a reminder of why we do what we do. The cross and flame within the ‘C’ is our denomination. It is an image that we are a United Methodist church, that we belong to a global denomination, and that we are a local representation of a larger mission.
