Grades 1-5 also meet in the Children's Dept and study a different lesson monthly.

Children's classes begin at 9:45am so that parents may drop off children before going to their own classes.

Youth Classes

We have middle school (Grades 6-8) and  high school (Grades 9-12) classes.  Both meet in the Church Annex, at different ends of the building, at 10:00am.

Adult Classes

We have a wide variety of adult classes, varying by size, age, and type of material studied.  Classes meet from 10-10:45am.  This information will provide an overview, but the best way to discover which class suits you is to visit them!

2 NEW classes have begun!

Young Adults Class: Studying the book of Matthew.  Led by Jennifer Butler.  Meets in the downstairs classroom in Annex.

Pastor’s Bible Class:  Studying the book of Proverbs.  Meets in the Sanctuary from 10-10:30am.

The Aldersgate Class

The Aldersgate Class is an adult Sunday school class that meets in the Admin Building. Our lessons consist of a review and discussion of contemporary Christian literature based on scripture. It is an interactive class led by members serving as teachers.

The Aldersgate Class is very active in all aspects of the life of the church including organizing the Easter Sunrise breakfast, helping with new member luncheons, Vacation Bible School, and many church activities.

The Aldersgate Class also participates in community events and service organizations by contributing both time and money to the welfare of Habersham County. We welcome all new members who want to serve the Lord.

The Good News Class

Our class is primarily retired folks but we welcome all adults looking for a friendly class.  Our lessons are from the Adult Bible Studies, an official resource of the United Methodist Church.  Our teachers serve for a month and are both from class members and teachers from outside the class.  We usually have discussion as part of the lesson.

We support a variety of needs, including the Methodist Children’s Home, Murphy Harpst Children’s Home, Wesley Woods, Heifer Project International, UMCOR and a number of local needs. The class plans a party each quarter, which usually includes a meal somewhere in the area.

Good News meets in the large room of the lower floor of the Education building; enter through the breezeway.  We welcome all visitors.  If you try us, we think you will like us.

The Pilgrims Class

The Pilgrims Sunday School class explores progressive Christianity with an emphasis on the Wesleyan tradition of scripture, tradition, reason, and experience to guide our faith.  The class has a discussion format led by a facilitator.  Some members do lots of listening… so don’t worry if that is your preferred learning style.  We’re diverse in many ways and our ages range from 17 to 89.

On April 6, the class will begin an Adam Hamilton study, "Making Sense of the Bible".

There’s a place at the table for everyone who desires to grow in faith while thinking a little outside the box.   We  meet in the Annex and love to have visitors – stop by for a visit anytime!

The Seekers Class

If you are seeking the fellowship of other believers in their 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s and are interested in Biblical topics of study related to this age group, please consider the Seekers Sunday School class. Lessons may be general (ex. faith and love) or apologetic (“why we believe what we believe”). We meet in the lower level of the Education building, to the right of the stairs.  Anyone is welcome, please join us!

The Upper Room Class

We meet in the Education building, the room next to the base of the stairs.  We do a wide variety of studies, from books to video series.  We also enjoy doing activities together outside of church.  You are invited to join us!
