Timeline of Events:
It is an exciting season at CFUMC! In October 2016 we began our Bridging Generations Faith Commitment Campaign for our new Fellowship Hall. This project has something for all generations! Please prayerfully consider how the Lord would lead you to participate in Bridging Generations. Many thanks to all who attended the kick off luncheon at Piedmont College Dining Commons on Sunday, October 16th, the wonderful Home Groups, hosted by members of our church family during the month of October, and the Leadership Banquet on Thursday, November 10th at Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, our Pastor and representatives from our Future Facilities Committee went before the District seeking approval for the proposed Fellowship Hall, and they were approved! Representatives included Gabe Hotard, Chairman of the Future Facilities Committee; Wesley Taylor, Chairman of the Trustees; Jeff Spivey, Chairman of the Finance Committee; and Bruce Forbes, Church Treasurer. Many thanks to this group and the rest of the Future Facilities Committee for their hard work!
On Thursday, March 2nd at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall, Rev. Richard Chewning, our District Superintendent, led our Church Conference to vote on proceeding with the proposed Fellowship Hall. The Fellowship Hall passed by unanimous vote!
